Modern Kitchen Remodel in Lafayette

This Lafayette ranch home renovation focused on transforming a narrow galley kitchen into a brighter, more functional space aligned with a minimalist approach. Walls separating the kitchen from the dining area were removed, and a partial wall between the kitchen and living room was shortened to improve natural light and visual connection. Custom cabinetry and floating shelves were fabricated by a Berkeley-based cabinetmaker, allowing for precise integration and a clean, understated profile. Bamboo flooring was installed to add warmth while maintaining durability, and both plumbing and electrical systems were upgraded to support the new layout and modern demands. Throughout the project, decisions were guided by restraint, proportion, and long-term usability. The finished kitchen feels open and composed, offering improved flow, better light, and a layout that supports everyday use without excess.
